Alta Badia

The ideal destination for unforgettable holidays

Alta Badia is located in the heart of the Dolomites in South Tyrol in the Italian Alps. It is dominated by its green landscape where the forest and meadow of the natural parks Puez Odle and Fanes Senes Braies, contrasts with the light grey Dolomite peaks.

It comprises 6 alpine villages: La Villa, San Cassiano, Corvara, Colfosco, Badia (Pedraces) and La Val, with around 6,000 residents. The valley is officially trilingual and the population speaks the mother language Ladin as well as Italian and German. The Ladin population is proud of its heritage and customs.

The Ladin Museum Ciastel de Tor gives the opportunity to get in touch with the history and traditions of the native population. Alta Badia is synonymous with modern tourism of skiing in the Dolomites and innumerable tracks trough this UNESCO Natural Heritage site.

Don´t forget the Alpine Ski World Cup on the Gran Risa and Maratona dles Dolomites, Sella Ronda Bike Day and Sella Ronda Hero. One nearby point of interest is Cortina d'Ampezzo, which was the site of the 1956 Olympic Winter Games. With its numerous ski slopes, it is still a popular resort for winter sports today. With many elegant boutiques lining its boulevards, you might want also to go on a shopping spree.

And don´t forget, there's the small, medieval town of Bruneck/ Brunico, often referred to as "the Pearl of the Val Pusteria."
